At Boujonnen Nascent Foundation, we are driven by a profound commitment to uplift the remote rural farming community in Anba MóN, transforming it into a prototype of sustainable development and resilience. Our journey began with Assosyasyon Peyizan Anba MòN (A.P.A.M), where we learned that true empowerment starts with listening. We engage directly with community farmers, women, elders and youth to understand their needs and aspirations. This grassroots approach ensures that our initiatives are relevant and self-directed, fostering a sense of ownership and pride among community members.
Our methods are rooted in collaboration and dialogue. Without adequate financial resources, the incentives for growth and innovation are diminished. Therefore, we actively raise funds to support projects that the community identifies as essential. This requires us to challenge those with privilege to recognize their role in uplifting marginalized voices, particularly those of Haitian ancestry. We invite them to step up and contribute to a cause that is not just about charity but about justice and equity.
Through education and funding, we inspire courage within the community. We are committed to harnessing environmentalism as a catalyst for change. Our initiatives focus on sustainable practices that protect the land and promote biodiversity, ensuring the community can thrive without compromising the environment. By teaching young people how to build solar panels and implement clean energy solutions, we provide them with valuable skills and instill a sense of responsibility towards their surroundings.
Together, we are creating a dynamic ecosystem of support and innovation. Our vision is to empower the community to reach new heights, transforming challenges into opportunities.
As we move forward, we remain steadfast in our mission to cultivate a brighter, more sustainable future for remote rural farmers in the Americas, where every voice is heard, every need is addressed, and every individual has the chance to thrive.
