ABOUT US

Empowering Communities Through Engagement and Environmentalism

What we do?

At Boujonnen Nascent Foundation, we are driven by a profound commitment to uplift the remote rural farming community in Anba MóN, transforming it into a prototype of sustainable development and resilience. Our journey began with Assosyasyon Peyizan Anba MòN (A.P.A.M), where we learned that true empowerment starts with listening. We engage directly with community farmers, women, elders and youth to understand their needs and aspirations. This grassroots approach ensures that our initiatives are relevant and self-directed, fostering a sense of ownership and pride among community members.

Our methods are rooted in collaboration and dialogue. Without adequate financial resources, the incentives for growth and innovation are diminished. Therefore, we actively raise funds to support projects that the community identifies as essential. This requires us to challenge those with privilege to recognize their role in uplifting marginalized voices, particularly those of Haitian ancestry. We invite them to step up and contribute to a cause that is not just about charity but about justice and equity.

Through education and funding, we inspire courage within the community. We are committed to harnessing environmentalism as a catalyst for change. Our initiatives focus on sustainable practices that protect the land and promote biodiversity, ensuring the community can thrive without compromising the environment. By teaching young people how to build solar panels and implement clean energy solutions, we provide them with valuable skills and instill a sense of responsibility towards their surroundings.

Together, we are creating a dynamic ecosystem of support and innovation. Our vision is to empower the community to reach new heights, transforming challenges into opportunities.

As we move forward, we remain steadfast in our mission to cultivate a brighter, more sustainable future for remote rural farmers in the Americas, where every voice is heard, every need is addressed, and every individual has the chance to thrive.

Why we do it?

A Vision of Justice and Empowerment

At the heart of the Boujonnen Nascent Foundation, Inc. lies a profound commitment to justice, empowerment, and sustainability. Our mission is driven by the belief that every individual, irrespective of their background or circumstances, deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our focus on the remote rural farming community in Anba MóN is born from a deep understanding of the challenges they face and a genuine desire to effect meaningful change.

Recognizing Resilience and Potential

Our journey began with the realization that many communities, particularly those of Haitian ancestry, have been historically marginalized and overlooked. We have witnessed firsthand the resilience and potential within these communities, yet we also recognize the barriers that hinder their progress. This awareness ignited a passion within us to act—not merely as benefactors, but as partners in transformation.

We Aim: to collaborate with communities, recognizing their strengths and supporting their aspirations for a brighter future.

Empowering Through Education and Collaboration

We believe in the transformative power of education and self-determination. Sustainable change cannot be imposed from the outside; it must be nurtured from within. By engaging with farmers, women, and youth, we listen to their stories, understand their needs, and support their visions for a brighter future. Our approach is rooted in respect and collaboration, ensuring that the community is at the forefront of every initiative.
